The people who were taken away were kidnapped on May 15 2026 when some bad people with guns attacked their school in Oriire Local Government and this made a lot of people very worried so the police and other security people worked together to try and rescue them.

The Nigeria
Union of Teachers Oyo State Chapter said they were very happy to hear that the
teachers and students who were taken away in Oriire Local Government Area of
Oyo State are now free and they think this is a win for all people and it makes
them feel better about the education system.
The union
said that now the victims are home safe it is a big relief for teachers,
students, parents and everyone who cares about education in Oyo State and
everywhere else in the nation.
The union also said that what happened was a test for the education community but they are proud of the teachers in the state for staying strong and hoping for the safe return of their friends and students.

Union of Teachers wants to thank the government of Nigeria starting from the
government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Oyo State Government led
by the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for doing everything they could to make sure the victims
were rescued safely.
The union also praises the security people for working hard and being brave which helped to rescue the victims without anyone getting hurt and this makes people feel safe especially those in the education system.
The statement also thank other people, unions, including traditional rulers, religious leaders and many Nigerians who prayed and gave support to the families of the victims during the difficult time.

While the union is happy, about the rescue they also remember the families of the people who did not survive. They ask the government to keep working hard to make schools and communities safer.
The Nigeria Union of Teachers believes that every child should be able to learn in a place and every teacher should be able to do their job without being afraid.
The union says they will keep working with the government to make sure schools are safe and to provide education.
They also think that what happened will make everyone more determined to protect peoples lives and make a future for all Nigerians.
This is honestly a big celebrations to all Nigerians and the rest in the world that had been following this abduption that happens in Nigeria
